Trial of sekima...as melee
It's still a complete nightmare to do this trial as melee....I'm SUPOSED TO GET HIT as a warrior...yes not from the big boss attacks I know
But I can't even do a fight against a baby minion mob cause it make me lose honor...thus trial is horrible on melee...u have to know this... I dont want to run like a chicken as a warrior...and Last bumped on Dec 18, 2024, 12:35:41 AM

Im fairly certain you can do trial of chaos for your final 4 ascendancies if you've already gotten past the first one.

I can't get past the 1st 1!
Also on ps5 it's a nightmare to click on the death altar if monsters are near it |

Completed all 4 trials pre nerf. On a Warrior. Feels fuckin good.
Step 1 is to self reflect.

I play on PC so I won't have some of the issues that PS5 has. I'm pretty bad at the game but I made it through the 3rd ascension today [2 Sekema and 1 Chaos].
Things that seem to have helped me a lot: 1. Getting move speed boots. I'd recommend at least getting 25% -- remember if you're wearing heavy armour there is likely a move speed penalty. 2. The goal is to finish the trial with the net minimum risk to your honor. If you have a choice between fight and run I'd generally pick run. 3. Practice. If memory serves for your first Sekema trial you can get new trial tokens from Balbala. Getting familiar with the mechanics involved helps a ton. 4. When practicing you may see one type of relic or another. Those can give you nice bonuses when going through the trials. If one drops during the run you can ID it and even Augment it if the relic only has one mod. 5. When practicing you'll find different room types that seem to work better for you. For example I like doing the rooms with the Crystals you need to touch [but it's a pain for the PS5]. I also don't mind the Hourglass rooms as you can mostly just dodge for 60+ seconds and you're fine. I dislike the "Chalice" (?) trials because killing rares [for me] means my honor is at serious risk --- most other things I can just dodge / avoid. 6. Try to look as far ahead as you can on the board and plot your path. If you're a low on resolve heading towards a reward that gives you honor would be great. Sometimes you're forced to choose afflictions which can be hard. For me the afflictions that are the worst are those that make me go to the wrong room, inability to see future rooms / room types / rewards / etc. 7. Don't be afraid to try outleveling the first Sanctum ... I did. Also don't be afraid to shamelessly abuse trade. Get the best weapon you can along with the best move speed boots you realistically can. |
