Please re-instate Armour Explosion on inanimate objects

My build was using Shield Wall into Resonating Shield + Armour Explosion support.

This was my only clear and now my build is not functioning.

I wanted to focus on Shield skills primarily and i loved this play style.

I can understand the issues relating to Armour Explosion recursion and other over powered things, but i was having so much fun with the creativity i had put into this build.

Maybe a support gem that allows you to explode inanimate objects only?

If GGG really hated the fact that you could self trigger the ice crystals from glacial shot with warbringer armour break armour explosion you could have just specified that ice crystals are immune to armour break and left the shield wall interaction alone. Why even use shield wall now? Isn't it designed intentionally to allow armour break explosion and armour scavenger to be useful in boss fights?


Make up your mind GGG, are the inanimate objects intended for explosive shotgunning or not? If not, what is their purpose?

For that matter, what is the purpose of warbringer elemental armour breaking at all? There is no meaningful interaction that this enables anymore. Elemental damage already doesn't benefit from breaking armour so it is only to proc explosions. But now, explosions are limited to only enemy targets which means it is an entirely dead skill interaction for single target damage. There is no longer any way for players to scale armour explosions in boss rooms.


Armourbreaking as a build archetype is dead.
