Lagging/stuttering

I have had no issues with servers till after today's update. The lagging and stuttering has rendered the game unplayable. I have reset the internet, xbox and game. Also this is the only game it appears to have the problem. Created a post on reddit and several are having this issue after update.

do you resolve this problem? i have the same since a week, is unplayable to me too, idk what to do more, this same topic is over and over here and in reddit

Ive also been getting little micro freezes how ever mine started a bit before the new update. They've definitely gotten more frequent since last night though. They usually lasting about 1-2 sec. Seems to happen the most when I play my monk.

This isn't even "micro". The game lags for up to 30 seconds at a time, then of course I'm dead afterwards. This happens after playing for around 30 seconds, so I can't even get a bit of play in. I've closed all other apps, and I'm playing on a monster rig, so it's this game that's the issue, not anything else. I can play any other game on ultra, including other online games, and have 0 issues. I had the same issues with PoE1, but to a much lesser extent. This game is unplayable in this state.

The root cause of the micro-stutter on my PC was MSI's Afterburner software (which is used to monitor your GPU's performance). The fix is to disable the Power monitoring in MSI Afterburner.

I also managed to boost my FPS by hiding a lot of the item drops using a loot filter (sorry console players...I know you're stuck on this one).
