Automatic Trading System for Gear
This game really needs automatic trading for gear, something like Star Trek Online has.
Post your item for sale with a price and if someone buys it, transfer happens automatically. If no one buys, seller can lower the price. * It removes the option to scam folks like I see mentioned a good bit in the Reddit forums. If you want the item, pay the price and it's automatically transfer out of the seller's stash tab and to the buyer's stash tab. No direct dealing with the seller unless it's an option. * With no direct contact, you don't have to mess with whispers trying to hunt down sellers or sellers have to leave from what they are currently doing. * This is a win with casual players and trying to retain them. It's a much better ultilization of their limited gaming time to have an easy automated trading process trying to obtain gear to help with their builds. *Both parties receive notification that the sell has occurred. Agreed 100%
Bringing the old outdated system just doesn't feel great. |

I completely agree.
With the lack of interaction and most people soloing 99% of the content anyways, and only playing with friends with their limited time, the whole trading mechanic is just too problematic for casuals which this game is supposed to appeal to. It has multiple issues that currently can't really be fixed: - People can ignore dm's (or just straight up not notice them). - There is always a delay to join up with the seller/buyer (not even taking into account the likely response delay). - It breaks the flow of the game for everyone involved as you have to finish/exit whatever content you were doing before you can trade. - It brings in tons of scammers who try to screw you over (swapping similar looking items or upselling you with excuses like "I updated my prices how weird tehe :P"). - It does nothing for the social aspect, as this game will never work that way outside of friend groups due to how content is designed. Unlike with Diablo (and even there it's not as common) you don't really party up with strangers nor does it improve the odds of this happening just because of a face to face trade. - The website (currently the biggest problem) is constantly down. - Using the website, a service outside the game is also breaking the flow of playing the game, very user unfriendly. I understand there are people who like face to face trades, but I truly believe most casuals won't due to many of the above mentioned points.
