Doryani's prototype not function

The functionality of the Doryani's Prototype set appears to be malfunctioning in both the removal of monster resistance and the calculation of armor for lightning damage mitigation.

A character with -157 lightening resistance and armor 10,492 can be one-hit by monster with mods such as "periodically unleashes lightening, lightening mirage when hit or periodic lightening explosions". However, some monster skills, such as spark or ball lightening can be defeended against normally. Pls investigate it

My condolences. To make a build with Negative more than hundred resistance build need some amount of investment. GGG Please look into this.

I use it in Demon form and it doesnt seem to work when you enter a new zone. The fix I found for this is to re-equip the chest in a new zone. You can test this by looking at a monster and see if it has the red lightning icon.

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the Doryani's prototype not functioning or the current state of armour (see for example Krip's video on the topic https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mw-uD-vz_5s&ab_channel=Kripparrian).
Due to the nature of lightning damage being able to roll way higher than other damage sources, it amplifies the current state of armour. A high roll will hit so hard that it renders armour practically useless. Resulting in you taking the full amount (or ~90%) of the damage.
So if Doryani's prototype is working as intended and armour is in a desirable state. Then please, GGG, reconsider the design of this unique.

As for this being a problem. I'm playing a Doryani's prototype build myself, see the stats below. Whilst doing a t15 waystone, I walked into a lightning storm shrine and got deleted by one single (pretty much) unavoidable strike.
But other abilities such as the lightning storm on rares or projectiles from wraiths will also do the job just fine.
