POE 1 and 2 would be so much better if were not for these people

Since day 2 of POE, I was doing live search for gear and saw countless people buying and reposting items 3-10x the price of the initial cost. Now these people decided that, they bought a lot of divines to dictate the market and started the hike. Most new players will probably never get to buy decent gear since these people flip, the market is crap, they profit, they invest into divine and now the raise in price of divines.

There are other factors that is different in POE 2 since crafting is in an "odd" spot right now and this is also one of the factors. I don't have any concrete insight to add for GGG to battle against RMT but, ugh, just look at the market.

I know flipping in some people's business dictionary is legit but flipping to convert to RMT is just lowest level of scum.

Markets will reach an equilibrium based on the price people are willing to pay/sell an item for. if prices rise it means the sellers are still able to find buyers for that item because that's what it's worth to them. if you cant afford it, farm.

None of this would be possible without an underlying demand for items at that price, and a supply of ccy to support the price.

The initial sellers just undersold the items.

Ok let me give you a concrete example. Since day 4 till now, every time I play POE 2, I do a live search for some potential upgrade. Yes, they will find a buyer since most of the good stuff were flipped.

Cant afford it? Just say the word and I would love to screen shot my gear and my currency for you but this isn't about that. If you can't see the problem here, no words nor explanation would get me thru you.

This post screams of someone who does not understand how markets work. And someone who will never be convinced that they are wrong.

The market ALWAYS corrects itself. If someone prices something too high, they will not sell. Same deal with items priced too low. It is exceedingly rare that a major shift in pricing (price-fixing) actually will occur, because it requires one party to hold all the cards: a literal impossible task in PoE 1, and even harder in PoE 2 with 5x+ the concurrent player numbers.

Real numbers and values are closer to the median on the market.

And also, like always, TIME and POPULARITY plays an important role in this. If you are playing a build that has recently been advertised as being really good, then the gear for that build is likely going to rise in price because the demand will skyrocket. Natural market behavior.

Well, you didn't see what I was shown how these people do it, so I guess I can't blame you how to you view things. Everything you said makes sense in normal settings.
It doesn't matter how YOU think they are doing it: the fact is they CANNOT do it the way you describe because of the nature of the game. You are mistaken.

That is my entire point: your concrete example and fundamental understanding is flawed. People and companies like this exist in the real world too, but it is in the base nature of a free market (and especially an UNLIMITED market like PoE) to correct itself against such efforts. The effects are only seen at the extremes though, if you take a look at the core 90% of a single type of item you get the real value as assigned by the playerbase.
