Skeletal Storm Mage's Command skill - Pretty useless

The fact you can only use this on dead skeleton minions makes this skill fairly useless. If my skeletal minions are consistently dying as a minion build, im in a bad spot.

So to make any real use out of this skill, you would have to keep putting yourself in a bad spot.

+1 upvote. agree. the requirement to use effectively is broken, least valued, under-performning, imbalanced (no. of gamers using it) choice agency.

No, you're not really in a bad spot. There are ways for your minions to die without taking damage from enemies like Infernal Legion. I guess GGG was thinking that the command skill could be like an an "Oh S---" button or some burst damage if you set it up correctly.

minion command skills were their 'anti afk walking simulator minion playstyle', that they fostered for 10+ years in poe1.

all of these command skills are pretty trash outside the archers, which actually does pretty good dmg esp if you 'spec' into it.

the problem in poe2, is you already have enough buttons to press, with cursing, setting up your offering(s), using a skill to get the passive 20% dmg on the player causing dmg, and unearth if you use it. (and that isnt counting the click to command your minion to move andys, thats ANOTHER button)

there is very few times i am 'afk walking simulatoring' in poe2. esp in juice maps. and esp if i want to be in anyway shape or form, be effecient at all. and that is because without doing all of the cursing, and offering, and hitting something for 20% dmg, minions in general dont do enough dmg without those things to clear for the most part.. or boss.

when i had arsonists in .1 i never pressed command.
when i did lightning mages in .2 i never pressed command.
when i did spectres in .3 i never pressed command.

the only times i ever did... was when you are forced to play snipers for half/the whole campaign and the only time i pressed it... was on bosses.

if you ask me.. every minions command should be the same. and be just like the enrage on reavers(which suck, but the command would be good on other minions that dont suck). at least then i would have a reason to stop pressing the 3-4 buttons i already have to press CONSTANTLY every 1-4 seconds... to even think about pressing it. maybe.
