Why nerf Arsonist instead of buff other minions?
If we take the active skill of the arsonist for example, have you ever seen anyone seriously use it? It's just a mocking, absolutely inconvenient thing, just like with that big minion in poe1, no one wants such gameplay and no one plays like that. For example, it would be possible to make a switchable skill of the arsonist, so that it automatically explodes minions at low HP, that would be fun and interesting.

I was wondering the same thing. They should buff the other pets. The mages are solid but the issue with them not being projectile or chaining hurts when it comes to support gems.. hard to make them viable (the lightening ones) that is since they arent big aoe like arsonist.

I also don't understand this passion to make all minions with active skills. Why the hell would I play minions (and suffer with their survivability and damage) with active skills, instead of just playing any other active skill? The whole point of minions is that they act independently, why should I summon a minion to press a button for him to cast something, if I can take a caster and press a button and cast something?

In my opinion, it is a concept. First, you sweep the battle ground as a commander instead of a shepherd. Second, not like phantom limbs, you can actually control phantom yourselves, AKA me-skeletons.

It's easier to nerf instead to buff... they are aware of the body blocking and are probably also working on it.
Having 1-2 less arsonists surely isnt that big of a deal. The whole spirit system in regards to minions need a rework and that takes time. |

" Why the hell are these minions even needed in game if there are a lot of other skills where you can press a button? Why do I need a skeleton mage who casts an icy AoE when I press a button, when I can cast it myself? |

Because GGG doesn't like minions. Instead of removing them completely (people would riot) they take this roundabout approach to force you to give up on them......eventually probably getting rid of them completely.
And, no, I'm not exaggerating. Everything minion related is treated as a plague by GGG. Last edited by lupasvasile#5385 on Dec 17, 2024, 3:15:31 AM

" >Added the Bidding Support Gem. Which can be used to give more damage to the Command Skills of Supported Minions. This is what I'm talking about, PEOPLE PLAY MINIONS EXACTLY TO AVOID PRESSING BUTTONS, that's the whole point of minions. Why the hell would I press clumsy skills with a layer in the form of a minion if I can press normal skills on a caster or a bow for example? And not have problems with spirit and survivability and damage for minions. Active gameplay on minions makes the very existence of minions MEANINGLESS |

It's the same with all the game developers this days, instead of bringing everything to be viable, nerf whatever works so that they feel equally sh1t...Then nerf the monsters as a result so that the nerfed skill goes again on pair and the others feel somehow good.
Never invite Vorana, Last To Fall at a beer party.

In poe1 they killed all minion builds, except for some specters and I'm sure they will nerf them like the rest, just for fun. Does this somehow magically increase profits? Do people playing minions donate less or what, what is the point of this hatred. Given that, for example, the gameplay on RF builds is even lazier.
