Demon Form in Mid-End Tier Mapping

Well, it just sucks compared to other spell caster builds. The only benefit is the stacking demon flame if you don't take the capped ascendency passive, but the amount of gear investment to make it viable is insane, never mind having to dump the rest of your ascendency points (which the trials and ultimatums are another discussion point for themselves) to get the additional 25% max life converted.

The demon form dodge is really nice, don't touch that please, its the only good thing about it right now. DF felt strong in campaign, but in end game (where 95% of your playtime, or more, will come from) its just not good. Other spell casting builds easily surpass the capped demon flame builds, so it kind of begs the question of, why bother with this build? The uncapped build requires all ascendency points, very particular rolls on gear, at least one of two, but ideally both unique gear pieces which are quite rigid in stats (uniques are generally just hot garbage, kind of like why did devs even bother with the cool art pieces if 95% are just throwaways), and even then, you get about 150-200 seconds of demon form with perfect gear rolls.

Ascendancies' should be a unique build path, and strong, especially in the end game. Nevermind the bugs with demon form itself, and the issues of going in and out of it to interact with levers and portals... it just needs a buff.

I think to buff this, allow the bonuses from weapon and offhand to be a passive ascendency upgrade, thus making a demon form build feel like a unique and progressively powering build. Also, dropping two equipment pieces from overall progression just feels bad.

Another idea is increase the stats it gives or add another stat, like mana regen or something. Just give the demon form love, i haven't honestly looked at the other stuff in infernalist because they seem just awful to build around without giving an apparent boost in power immediately.

Anyways, loving the game, looking forward to how the development unfolds in the next 6-12 month.
