Dodge Roll, Trials, and Currency - Disappointed

I hate Dark Souls, and every boss fight is 90% dodge roll 1 hit kills, and 10% use your gem skills.

I hated the sanctum trial thing in POE1, never did more than the 1st hey go do this quest while doing the story literally 1 time. Went through 2 rooms, never went back in. Now that is required to ascend. Great.

Takes so long to farm and farm and farm and farm to turn crap drops into currency shards to try 1 time upgrade to try to get a better gear item so you can not even use said new gear item while dodge rolling vs bosses.

So far, I was so excited for all the new ideas, and new zones/areas, and improvements, but its just been big nopes for me and my wife so far.

Bosses are nothing but dodge roll arenas, and ascending I guess we will just never ascend, unless we outlevel the process by so many levels that it becomes a completely pointless process, so why even have it in the 1st place LOL

Really disappointed so far in POE2. Suppose I should just come back next month and see what changes. Not having fun so far.

plenty of boss aoe attacks are better off avoided by just walking.
Unbelievable that people still complain about the dodge roll. They should just remove it, maybe they'll remember that they can just walk instead. Dodge rolls are useful only for last milisecond damage avoidance, usually in terms of big hitting aoe attacks that come under the form of a straight line, or if you happen to be at the edge of a large aoe attack. Otherwise it's better to just walk because dodges slow you down due to the recovery animation.
Dodge rolling is too slow.

You get animation locked many times and can't break an atk

Also the iframes are way too short, you still get 100-0 from 1 hit when it looks like u dodged it
