Trial of the Sekhamas FAILED

+1

Tried to help my son with some trials.

We were having fun until then, I could tell even without being in the same room as him, his excitement waning as he was realising how inferior his warrior was compared to my merc and the fellow ranger who was accompanying us.

As well as a fellow work colleague who is of a similar opinion.
Wait till you reach the final ("endgame") boss of Sanctum. Even if you solve the honor idiocy, this guy cheeses you with a death mechanic - you must solve a puzzle that slows you down, rushing against a timer. Even with honor saved and good DPS you end up cheesed if not having lucky modifiers and good movement speed.
you need honour resist relics
it's very easy once you have 75%

Do those drop randomly or do you have to find more Sanctum books and keep running that specifically to get them?

I had 39% and got one-shot with 1700 honour by scorpion boss, and my max honour was 1989 or something like that.

as someone said above, the game has been an phenomenal experience so far, and this single part of the game, makes me want to quit both poe1 and poe2, because it seems this is the 'intended' experience. This is not an experience. I dont know what kind of design this is, but is everything but fun, is sad and painful. I love this game and this company, but i also dont want to have drama and expectations to just come across things like this.
Couldn't agree more!
Honor system is awfull. No fun, only pain and stress.

Hope they consider our negative feedback.

While I finished these trials, it was nor easy, nor fun (most importantly), not even challenging in good way, just chore to get randoms right.

And YES, totally messed up balance for melee chars!
Honestly, labs really aren't that bad! I've never really hated it that much.

I don't understand why GGG wants to gate keep such a vital part of the progression system. Do they think people will just spend hours on the trial, fail, farm more keys, and come back and do it again? No, they won't. I now don't have any more keys for the 3rd trial, because getting randomly hit by something i can't see is apparently fun! I'm close to just quitting and forgetting about the game if they think this is challenging and exciting.

I can't even imagine the frustration with melee classes.People are saying they completed it with monk with range abilities lol.

it encouraged crushing those trials by high level and previewing guidelines from those have finished trials ; and punished who didnt do it .
just fire the guy who put it in this game and connecting to core-mech
