PoE2 feels bad.

12k hours in PoE1, and I just... I had so much hope for PoE2. But now, I don't even feel like logging into PoE2, because it's just so boring. Move slow, no crafting, endless random one shots, no utility flasks to customize, have to run mechanics I don't like in order to ascend, gotta click a well plus a number of vendors every time I go to my hideout, and the dodge roll.... I loathe the dodge roll. Designing the game around the dodge roll really kills my enthusiasm for the next 10 years of gaming. You can't remove it from the game, you balanced the game around it, there's no way you're going to decide not to have it be part of the game, which means I don't want to play the game. I don't understand why you'd make the game a soulslike... People bought into PoE2 EA because of people like me hyping the game nonstop, and then instead of giving us PoE2, you make us look foolish for promoting this new game. I told people about the wonderful crafting, and how cool it would be in PoE2. What do the people I told get? No alteration orbs? No scours? Wut! I told them about how fun it was to blast the campaign and endgame, and what to they get? Slow movespeed and a dodge roll? I haven't even spent my 300 points from EA yet because honestly, I just don't want to even play. Worst part is that now I'm stuck in a seven month PoE1 league instead of playing PoE2, the game I wanted... I know you probably won't bother to fix things, as ruthless-lite is your vision, but I just wanted to let you know I've been playing for 10 years, and this is just another time you've let me down. Hopefully community outrage will help you fix things.

I love it. Best ARPG I've played.
I'm happy for you but I'm definitely not happy for me. I hope the game gives you 10 years of fun, and hope you're not a tourist that'll just get your 40-60 hours out of the game and quit. I'll be moving on I guess.

Same +1
Both of you are brand new players... highest level is 34 on one of you, and the other is brand new to PoE in general. Neither of you understand what made PoE1 a great game, and it's sad that you're so convinced of your experience. Feels like you're telling me how great cardboard is to eat when I'm used to eating prime rib.

Yeah and they both have been spending the week trying to shitpost and start arguments when it's clear neither of them know the current system or the previous one real well.

so damn true. and probably most of them will quit the game in, i guess, one month.

they don't even kwons why "veterans" can be mad.
we spent thousand of hours in the previous one, and we are mad not cause the game is good or bad, but basically cause is not recognizable as a poe sequel
Try sorc, the blink ability is fun.
Nah, I'm just going to go through my steam backlog and clear games I have fun in instead. Playing Divinity Original Sin 2 right now, and having a good time. I'll come back to PoE2 in 6 months or something and see if they fixed things. Might come back to PoE1 if there's another league in march, idk though. I have a feeling they're going to prioritize PoE2 and it'll be a "kill things in a circle" PoE1 league. I'll be very happy if I'm wrong.
I love it so far. There's some stuff to sort out, but I'm about 100 hours in and don't see myself quitting anytime soon. Reminds me of invasion where they said the goal was to kill as many players as possible.

And it's all going to change as time goes on. Start slow, build up systems, and add a ton of classes. It's a safe way to go with a new release
