Jamanra Difficulty Gap?

Lightning resistance. Movement speed. If you don't have those, don't start the Jamanra fight. If you do have them, it's a fun boss fight. Not easy, not overly difficult. Everything he does is telegraphed. There's plenty of room behind the shield in the sandstorm phase to deal with the mobs. In the second phase he can be very annoying with all the area denial, especially if you're melee, but you have to get really unlucky for damage to be unavoidable. One of my favorite fights. Shame it's such a slog to get through the Dreadnought before you get to him.

Stack life Regen and lightning res on your gear for this fight. Flask charges regen per second also helps. Make sure youve got a decent weapon with elemental damages.

I'm playing a warrior - which according to the locals on this forum is terrible - and I downed him on my 2nd try after a couple quick gear changes at level 34.

And yeah, i also ran out of potions the first fight and died. I also lost 10% XP and didn't care about it.

Adapt and overcome, and your self confidence will bloom!

Finally did beat him today after a couple more levels and some items tweaking. I think he is a bit too damage heavy or health pool heavy whatever the average player level is that gets to him.

In any event the game is still a ton of fun and I was relieved to beat him and move into Act 3.

A little bummed that I have to go through the Acts all over again on cruel just to get to Atlas.

I have never died to actboss jamanra, had more trouble with the mini fight earlier in the act.

This is just class/skill balance being weird.

No he's not. And I think that objectively true for melee.
If he felt easy for you then you might have been real lucky and dropped a gear that provided you enough DPS to kill him before he kills you. literally.
An if you doubt that, I invite you to start a new run and see for yourself how he is without luck.

I have killed him 8 times on normal and on cruel now and I have not died to him once and I have tanked his slam without dying every single time. He is not hard.

The best stats to look for in leveling just about any build is Maximum life and resistances. And just buy a very good weapon that does a shitload of damage for your level. Jamanra can't kill you if he's dead in a couple of seconds.

I just started a new character yesterday, and finished Jamanra in Cruel difficulty today, killing him in about 20 seconds. All because I spent about 5 exalts buying very good gear.
