Resistences loss in campaign

I think mechanic of lossing resistences as you progress game is not very good one. It is easy to miss when it happens (even if game tells you for few second when it happen). I feel it is unnecessary hidden mechanic to keep balance that could be achieved more transparently. Also game is compensating for it in campaign with bonuses from bosses. If some of the loss in campaign is removed than it can be removed from boss bonuses and these can be used for something else to help players in campaign.

It's even worse when it happens in the middle of progressing endgame maps, as there's literally zero warning.
You do not lose resistances from progressing through endgame maps though? The last time you lose res is at the end of act 3 cruel

You do when you hit t15. 1 dude was complaining about it on chat. Some warning would be nice to have.

Nope, in PoE2 your resistences get lowered on T10-T16 maps. Its stated in the node explaination accessible on the top left in the Atlas World Map

The system actually makes sense when you think about it.

In each act they give you an optional boss, which drops 10% bonus resistance, and this 10% bonus resistance matches the resistance needed for the final boss of the act where you got it. And then, once the act is completed - they remove that extra bonus from you. So if you don't skip those optional bosses - you will return to your normal value.

This is just my guess on possible initial design behind this mechanic. Devs are not making your life harder - they are actually helping you to beat the act boss.

Nah thats not how it is at all. There is only a few times during the story you get a 10% boost to a single resistance type. Every single act you get -10 to all types, and then in maps you get no special boosts like that and still get the downside as you progress

Oh man, I really thought it was -10% to a specific type lol. Yeah, you are completely right - they are removing 10% from everything, somehow I did not even notice that. Also just checked on fresh character right after t3 cruel to be sure - when naked it is indeed sitting at -40% everywhere.
i just found out about this in maps. its just as bas as nodes on the tree having downsides like reduced speed. the upside shouldnt be so high it needs balanced with a downside. it feels terrible using points to make ur character worse
Y'all really are complaining about everything now
