Any way to upgrade the game version I got without buying the whole game?
Hi, I was wondering if theres a way to upgrade my game version, like to a higher supporter version for instance? If I buy a higher support pack I pay the full price, that means the price including the game. Why can I not buy a higher version without buying the whole game tho, I'm afraid of an account merge and losing my progress if I buy another version under the same steam account.

IF you login to you POE account you can usually upgrade by just paying the difference but it's limited to something like double the price of the original purchase (I think) - so if you bought the $30 version you are quite limited iirc.
But buying more supporter packs will in no way impact your account. For that you'd need to activate and register using a different key. Last edited by XeonPOE#7768 on Dec 15, 2024, 11:15:39 AM

Not sure what you mean with support version.
PoE2 is free to play, you only pay if you want to get access to the early access which is currently active. It does not affect your PoE1 account on steam at all. Either you buy a supporter pack or 30 bucks to get a key for the early access. |

Should've phrased it differently then.
I bought the 30 bucks early access. If I decidede to upgrade my game and go for the 55 bucks version, I'd have to pay for the full game again no? For example in other games: Base game is 30 bucks, special edition is 50 bucks. If I buy the 30 bucks version but decide I want the stuff from the 50 bucks version aswell because I like the game so much, I'd normally only pay the 20 bucks difference, because I already own the base game. Got what I mean? |

" Not really, but generally speaking if you're moving up tiers of supporter pack within the same series it will just show the outstanding price difference and give you the difference in goodies. For example, I bought a $30 pack, so the Lord of Ogham pack which is usually.. 55? 60? Shows up as 30 on my account now as an "upgrade" from a previous bought pack. ![]() GGG support is usually extremely good at supporting such things though, although I would caveat that by saying they have specifically said they are way behind on tickets right now. Also, there are no different "versions" of the game, the only thing you're paying for is the supporter pack and what it comes with. Last edited by Pathological#1188 on Dec 15, 2024, 5:30:35 PM

Well alr, thats what I wanted to know.
But for me it still says it's 60 bucks and not the difference, which would be 30. Maybe I'm in the wrong buy window? How did you get to the location from ur screenshot? |

" Clicked the shop button at the top right while logged in. If it's different for you I'm not sure why. |

Ah yeah, I see. I got there but it's still 60 bucks for me.
Maybe because I received a key? That would make no sense because I still have the base game. Alr, ty anyways! |

If you go to your account settings and then go to View Transactions, your purchases that can be upgraded to higher tier will have and Upgrade button next to them. Maybe try that.

Alright, I see now. I'm certain it won't let me upgrade because I received a key for the early access and didn't buy the game myself.
Still makes no sense to me why I should pay the price for the whole game if I decided to upgrade it. Thanks. |
