GGG are you considering merging ea characters into standard in the future

Love the game!
Just curious if there is a chance for it to happen at all , i enjoy playing standard in poe 1 and would like that my progress in the ea at some point might transfer to standard , have a good day everyone!

Early Access characters will be put into their own league after the full release of the game.

The release version is going to have lots of different balances compared to EA. They've said this from the start.

Yeah i know they said it from the start that its going to be a separate league, with no uppdates right?
But im thinking a year or so after full release Will anybody care that some characters had a head start with different conditions?

I could see them going to standard after the first season of release but not at release as it would screw up any chance for people not wanting to start with the season at having an economy. POE did have a season before it's full release while still in open beta and the second season started with it's 1.0 release. If this happens with an open beta period before full release than yeah everything will just move to standard.

its about having janky items, weird legacy stuff. i love standard but i dont think it should be done, it gives us a reason to give no shits and just blow all our EA items and currency etc to really test the game properly in an environment where mistakes are not forever.

think of it as when EA ends, all your EA items remain as "single player POE".

tbh.... the way its going i am rather tempted to continue playing EA when the game releases.

i know what u mean, but potentially quite different. they are not fine tuning numbers, turning a lightning coil from 40% to 30% then up to 50%. they want the freedom to decide that phys taken as ele doesnt even exist in the game. they said they cant promise our characters from EA will even work by the time theyve made the sweeping changes they could potentially want to make.

theyve decided to give themselves that space and on the back of that have told the player base its not going to standard. that means we are playing it like its a void league essentially. it would be wrong to then rug pull on us. one way or another we should have certainty about what EA is and they have given us that.
