Atlas 'event' skill tree, and endgame need a serious rework.
I'm gonna compare it to POE 1 for very obivious reason, but in the prequel, when you complete 50 (different) maps, you would have 50 passive point. Which can be used to upgrade any kind of random event you want, to make them more fun and juicy with loot.
But in POE 2? I've did over 70 maps by now, i'm slowly starting T15... And i'm not seeing any kind of progress AT ALL toward event skill tree. Heck, only 14 skill point, which barely give any big bonuses. I don't even see a difference in loots between T1 to T15, beside experience. The infinite atlas map, while it look good on paper, it's just bad for now. Hoorah, i can do a node with absolutely NOTHING on it! Lost tower? Hoorah, time for yet another nothing in it too, to put in literaly nothing because tablet are rare, despite them giving tiny bonus. ( i've only found 2 so far. ) Also, i know it's skill based, but the one shot still happen. I wouldn't mind in POE 1 because you had 6 lifes, but in there? It's an instant game over. AND you lose all event that was present in the node, so either you go to another node with events if you have one avaible, or you're punished to go through an un-eventful node. Amazing. I was having a lot of fun, but the lack of... Anything happening, the endgame is starting to get boring alerdy. I like the idea that doing the events, in a way, allow us to put point into them, meaning we could do all skill tree of all events. But if the very first points are locked toward something incredibly tedious and long...? yeah, no. I'm not interessed. And we'll have to do those 4 times each. While i love the gameplay of POE 2 so much more, i appreciate the end game mechanic of POE 1 incredibly more. Last bumped on Dec 14, 2024, 6:02:18 PM
