Question About Mob Respawn and Area Reset in PoE2
Hi all,
I have a quick question: Why do mobs now respawn, and areas reset in Path of Exile 2 when resurrecting? I've been playing Path of Exile for a long time, and this behavior doesn't happen there, so I’m curious why it works this way in PoE2. Additionally, the resurrection process feels quite slow, which can be frustrating at times. Any insights would be appreciated! Last bumped on Dec 14, 2024, 1:43:22 PM

I dont think there has been any official communication on this from GGG, but my guess is that they wanted to avoid situations that would happen in POE 1 where if you died while in a zone and it didnt reset AND your respawn point was the zone entrance, you'd have a large segment of time where you weren't killing things because you had to run or spam a travel skill to get back to where you died. And with POE 2 basically either removing or hamstringing the speed of travel skills AND having giant map zones, that dead time would have been exponentially worse. Hence the mobs resetting so you can get back to the action immediately.
Again, just my thought, take it with a grain of salt. |
