Rune's need to be replaceable/removable from items

One of the biggest issues atm is that runes are permanent choices, when they should be flex slots to replace the loss of crafting bench.

Why am I locked in to +12 lightning resistance on my gloves from my runeslot? It makes it impossible to actually change out or upgrade your gear at all without replacing literally your entire gear set everytime you need to swap out like 12 resists?

An easy example.. I found a huge improvement for my chest piece. It was dual res + chaos res, and high values. But I couldn't use it, because it was a different 2 resists than my current chest piece, and it would result in me being undercapped on fire res, but overcapped on lightning/cold.

Because I can't swap out runes on my other gear, which have cold/lightning sockets, to make up for my current chest piece which doesn't have that.

In order to use my new chest piece, I would have to literally swap out my entire gear set.. with functionally identical parts, but open rune slots.

That is just hella lame and makes it pretty much impossible to actually swap out a gear piece for an upgrade unless it happens to have *the exact same resists* as your old piece.

I've found multiple upgrades, and used NONE OF THEM because they had a single resist different than my old piece and despite having a total of 7! rune slots(yea, I got lucky with corruptions) I can't freaking upgrade anything because the rune slots on them are locked.

Runes being a permanent choice COMPLETELY breaks gear progression. Let us use the reforging bench to remove runes from their sockets for gold(destroy the runes in the process), or an NPC that will do it for us, so we can unsocket/resocket runes.
