GGG Player Support making things complicated
So after almost 1 month of waiting, support finally answered my email request for a change of email.
Context: the email linked on my PoE account is not being used anymore, storage is full so I am using a new email. It's not as simple as deleting emails because google has a shared storage for all their services such as google drive, google photos, etc. So if you delete 1 email from your inbox, it won't do anything and your gmail is still not working. This is their marketing strategy to make you subscribe to their increased storage of 100gb monthly. I'm poor and living in a 3rd world country so I'm not going to pay monthly USD for that. And no I'm not going to delete my videos and photos in there since they have sentimental value. Hence, I am asking GGG support to change the email from their end. When I do it myself, it will send an email to the old email to confirm the change hence my dilemma. But support team's first response was to inform me of what I already know, change it myself. Replied and explained. They then replied again that I should delete some messages on my inbox. WOW, talk about making things complicated. I'm begging of your support team to not complicate things. Thank you. Last bumped on Dec 17, 2024, 7:12:10 PM

Hey there,
If you've already contacted us via email at support@grindinggear.com then I'm afraid you'll need to wait for the appropriate team member to get back to you. We're currently handling a large volume of tickets right now so we really appreciate your patience in the meantime! | |
" They did reply but they were not helping at all. Instead of changing the email or asking me for proof of account ownership, they didn't do that. I understand that they may be swamped and stressed with the amount of requests they have to go through but this is ridiculous. My issue would have long been solved if they did a one response resolution, but instead they gave me the workaround that I do not want to do because again, google requires a subscription for an expanded storage and deleting 1 or 100 emails won't do anything. Now there aren't any response again and who knows how long it will take them to respond again. |
