Combat Frenzy issue with Potential support + Resonance Keystone (Bug Report ID: #997596196)

I electrocute enemies with Voltaic Grenade, so Combat Frenzy (not Voltaic Grenade) generates a frenzy charge. This frenzy charge is gained as a power charge instead. When I then use Potential support on Voltaic Grenade, which stops the grenade from generating power charges, Combat Frenzy no longer generates power charges. The skill which generates the charge is Combat Frenzy, not Voltaic Grenade, so I should still be getting my power charges.

I am having a similar issue. I also use the setup with the combat frenzy spirit gem and resonance keystone to generate power charges (via freezing with ice strike). If I socket ice strike with potential support and go into combat as usual I do not appear to ever get any power charges. Based on the wording of potential support, you would expect this to work, it is not ice strike generating the charges, but combat frenzy. The fact that flicker strike has the wording "cannot gain charges WHILE using this skill" it makes sense that even with combat frenzy you would not be able to generate them this way. If the intended interaction is for it to work like flicker strike, you would expect potential support to be worded like "cannot gain power charges while using supported skill" rather than "supported skill cannot generate power charges". This makes me think this is a bug.

Would really like to know if this is intended or not, even if this is not going to be fixed (either by changing the interaction, or changing the wording) in the near term. TY
