Exalts as both main currency and main crafting orb makes a weird economy

I don't see in PoE2 a chaos orb equivalent , meaning a plentiful and cheap orb that is used more as a currency than a crafting orb. (you can spam chaos on items , but that does not seem like the regular way to craft)

This impacts the perceived crafting price , because you have to either risk 3ex on a base , with a small chance of getting a good item or buy a 5-15 ex yellow item. With how low the chances to get something good are , people will probably focus more on buying than crafting.

We could use a new currency with a less useful crafting option , and more plentiful than exalts , to have something similar in role to the chaos in PoE 1

Finally a good economy. Where people use the orbs instead of hoarding them and then calling insane prices for shitty items.

This is much much better.

Bro u get 5ex in 1 hour doing tier 1 maps. The idea is that you try for the craft and get a "15ex item" by just spending 3ex.

This is much better for various reasons:

1- Helps newer players get their gear, both by crafting and by trading. They get to sell good bases/blues/decent rares for 1-2ex a piece and then buy their levelling gear.

2- Mid-game crafting is much more accessible. You get to buy a good blue that has exactly what you need and with 1 regal + 2 exalts you have an item to carry you to endgame for cheap.

3- Pricing items is that much easier by going through a simple thought process involving whether or not you'd be willing to slam exalts in said items, which is also a much better educated decision if you've dabbed into exalting items before, which is now accessible.

it should've always been this way. The real good orb is Divine, which takes your item to GG levels once you've achieved the good mods by dumping exalts.

Ruthless economy is actually really fun for me and my guild. We trade in currency that we actively use constantly.

When I had thousands of alchs, it wasn't to buy some chase item, but a bunch of fun gambles and I wound up making some really cool items like :

Trash items by poe1 standards but phenomenal items by ruthless standards (and more than enough for maven, ruthless challenges like no lazer, etc)
