Please remove or fix molten blast movement on attack

Currently playing a 1h+shield molten blast warrior and it works like a charm, but they really really need to remove the step forward. This defeats the whole point of it being a ranged skill and messes heavily with positioning in boss fights. It just makes no sense for ranged skill and like you said, it bugs out big time in melee range with flying enemies.

Also it feels kinda stupid, that you cant get +gem levels from maces for this mace-skill, because maces can only +to all melee gems. You can only get +1-3 levels of projectile gems on amulet or +4 to fire skills on crazy expensive unique amulet.

I love the skill otherwise, but the limit on increased skill level hurts and the step forward is just trash for a ranged attack like molten blast.

Also like with some other skills, the targeting feels off sometimes in tight spaces.


It's almost as if the devs don't play the games they create [lol d4 vibes], or if it doesn't have a lightning tag... it's just put into a game as a filler or something.

Here we are a week out from 0.2.0 and I highly suspect this wasn't not even close to being fixed on their radar.


Well ofc it wasn't fixed, they had to make sure Lightning Spear was insane since spark was nerfed this way we would have some new stale flavor equivalent of lightning strike from POE1.

Playing Huntress with Molten Blast 2H hammer right now.

While I am not happy with the step forward, I was able to make the skill less annoying by slapping on Pierce and Overpower on the skill so that I can get the stun bar closer to full, for a follow up with Bonebreaker.

Am currently trying to farm for a Greater Jewler Orb so I can add Scattershot, Martial Tempo and Chain as well.

It will be RNG as hell, but this setup should let me redirect the shrapnel back towards the enemy front row.
