Please remove or fix molten blast movement on attack
This move forward with molten blast really sucks. I mean really sucks. When you are fighting a fast flying enemy you step phase through it and miss your attack repeatedly. I set the option to not move on attack and it does not work properly.
I find myself most of the time trying to glitch myself on a wall corner so i can throw molten blast while standing still. Can we please get either a fix for the button that is supposed to keep you stationary or just remove attack movement animations? Thank you for your time. Last bumped on May 6, 2025, 6:38:35 AM

Currently playing a 1h+shield molten blast warrior and it works like a charm, but they really really need to remove the step forward. This defeats the whole point of it being a ranged skill and messes heavily with positioning in boss fights. It just makes no sense for ranged skill and like you said, it bugs out big time in melee range with flying enemies.
Also it feels kinda stupid, that you cant get +gem levels from maces for this mace-skill, because maces can only +to all melee gems. You can only get +1-3 levels of projectile gems on amulet or +4 to fire skills on crazy expensive unique amulet. I love the skill otherwise, but the limit on increased skill level hurts and the step forward is just trash for a ranged attack like molten blast. Uneven terrain is the bigger gripe for me, i'm playing high aps so the forward step isn't that bad when things die fast (0.26 with tailwind right now)
But some stairs and hills/uneven terrain which a few maps have make the projectiles hit the ground at my feet, and in some places even slight elevation blocks the balls. For example I just did the Trialmaster, and the elevator you enter the arena with is ever so slightly higher than the rest of the arena (you can walk over it) and it blocks the projectiles, would't be that bad, but the elevator is in the middle of the arena. |

the skill is poggies, but the movement makes it just NOT FUN to play - specially on low level aka 14, where you get the skill...
later on with gear and more attackspeed, it becomes kind of better, but is still anonying, i guess... not sure if i will continue to play this for 14+ now... its just aids |

Remove the step animation and hopefully also add a key to attack in place for KBM & controller rather than toggle per skill. Charged staff on quarterstalves gives you range but sometimes you don't want to take a step into the explosion. |

yeah couldnt agree more, the step feels so incredibly bad and buggy. Also they got change +# to melee skills to +# to mace skills.. makes no sense |
