Game is gated by RNG and terrible drop rates
Your ability to progress appears to be entirely based on RNG and the items that may or may not drop for you.
Until this improves considerably, the game is basically gated and the negative reviews will continue to pour in. Casual players spending 20+ hours trying to farm gear to pass Act 1 is insane and in no way is that fun in any way you look at it. Games are meant to be fun, not frustrating angering vacuous soul sucking endeavors. Last bumped on Jan 2, 2025, 1:20:48 AM

Yeah put a post about it , it became so awful that i stopped played. Not any pleasure to play with blue items. And i m veteran from POE1. This drop rate is like ruthless. But most of player want to enjoy the game not suffer like that. And i talk only about drop rate cause difficulty is alright
No risk no fun hardcore forever

" yea the difficulty is fine if the mobs drop better loot rather than only white and blue garbage that you can't even use on your build |

Apparently I'm not mean to go past t6 maps. literally every craft I make sucks (probably over 400 or so norm to blue to rare that roll absolute garbage stats), vendors have had nothing useful (and yes I check them EVERY LEVEL A1-3) since like lvl 35 and im lvl80. Any +3 or +4 skill wand is going for 1div orb. DUDE I've literally played almost 300 hours already and have seen 1 drop wtf. I farmed over 6 hours today doing bosses (probably over 80boss kills and 100's of rares), what do I have to show for it. Absolutely nothing so basically what im seing the same ole d2 ladder problem. Spend entire season getting nothing or getting lucky drops that carry progression. I mean I guess im running out of gas already. I pumped d4 so hard and had terrible quality crap my whole time and its looking to be the same. The market will always be run by the lucky chads or streamers that are pumping 100's of hours a week while they get gifted currency. Bummer. Wish I could refund my ps5 100$ supporter pack but I cant. Game is good yes but loot will always be a RNG sesspool.

getting gatekept by act 1 is not a gear issue, try looking at the screen and avoiding attacks

I've done a bunch of T16+ maps... probably in excess of 100 and yeah, the loot is terrible. I think I might have found 1 upgrade during my entire time with endgame. I got tired of wearing the same items for 40+ levels, so I stopped.
The game is balanced too heavily around trade and the loot suffers for it. They added a bunch of endgame systems that require hours of grinding just to attempt once, but at the rate I'm going I feel like I could be playing 100 years just to be able to createa a character that allows me to clear breaches fast enough to farm splinters for the chance at a pinnacle boss. I don't have the time nor the patience for that. The bones of the game are good, but It's just not rewarding to play long term... definitely not something I would ever see myself returning to season after season, or even every other season. Game is absolutely RNG-based, but you can overcome that with time.
If you don't have either, well yeah, you are kind of screwed. I do suggest getting max resists and then stacking rarity. You will see a huge increase in the quality of your drops. The difference between rarity and no rarity is astronomical in this game. |

If we can get the economy to stabilize AND we can also create more niches where someone can perform an activity [craft, farm something in demand -- esp. if it's annoying, etc.] that people don't want to do so you can exchange some of your time for currency allowing you to engage more with trade.
IF the economy is healthy I'd generally say to stop expecting for an upgrade to drop [or be crafted via Trans, Aug, Regal, EX slams] and look FIRST to trade. Getting someone's left-over gear for a discount is always welcome. |

" Set the trade filter buyout price from relative to exalt orbs to view all the cheaper stuff. Trade site is messed up I think, so it places divines closer to the 20ex items than it should be. Farm the league mechanics and sell the loot for ex. Delirium and Expedition give the easier stuff. Ritual is luck based, but most of the omens are 40ex+. Don't bother crafting in endgame if you don't know what you're doing. Bot farmers are the ones that determine the market btw. |
