XP loss on death?
Is this really a thing that needs to be discussed? WHen has this ever worked out in any game ever? Especially one with more one shot mechanics then I ever thought I would ever see, or not see. Since even some white mobs will cast shit that arent even in your visable range that can one shot you, a spell hidden by other spells or models, and the list goes on and on. What in the actual fuck.

exp loss on death has been a thing since the beginning of PoE1, and Diablo 2 also had it. GGG is more likely to remove respec costs that remove exp loss, so don't even think about this.

" there isnt a single "souls" themed game that has unrecoverable xp loss ... the whole point of games with hard bosses that can 1-2 tap PC is to encourage repeated attempts by NOT penalizing player for losing ... Diablo and PoE had XP loss because dying isnt kinda expected ... when you can facetank basically ANYTHING including massive pinacle bosses nukes THEN losing few XP that you can fairly quickly recover is fine not in a game where even white mobs can two tap you and every single boss has oneshot mechanic ... or several |

" and its already declining ... depending how many fiascos with balancing they get at current atrition the game will reach poe1 numbers within a month and if they dont do something to keep players from quitting in less than 3 months the whole thing will collapse and thats taking into account that nearly noone is getting to the "i didnt everything thats to do so im leavig" phase, vast majority of the leaving players are going because of bad experience not lack of content ... Level 100 isn't meant for every build. Reaching it should only be possible with a strong, resilient build that can survive consistently.
Glass cannon builds should NEVER be able to reach max level. |
