who the DOGPISS was Balbala made for??
As a minion witch overleveled to the area on cruel, I cannot react to EVERY FUCKING THING ON SCREEN AT ONCE.
She spawns adds - okay sure She teleport jumps - Okay SURE She throws an add coin, teleport jumps and immediately comes down on you - OKAY SURE SHE THROWS AN ADD COIN, TELEPORT JUMPS, COMES DOWN, THEN AS YOU ROLL AWAY SHE TELEPORTS BEHIND YOU AND HITS YOU ANYWAY [Removed by Support] HOW THE FUCK ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO DO ANYTHING BESIDES TANK HITS (WHICH MY WITCH IS OBVIOUSLY NOT DESIGNED TO DO) - SHE DOESNT STAY ON THE MINIONS, THE MINIONS WILL JUST CHASE HER DUMB DOGPISS ASS AROUND WHILE SHE WONT STAY IN ONE PLACE NOT TO MENTION THE AMOUNT OF BULLSHIT IM SPREADING ON THE GROUND MEANS I CANT SEE HER FUCKING STUPID LITTLE SHITCOINS. This is, quite possibly, one of the best AND WORST upgrades to this game. SOME of the boss fights are challenging, but fun. MOST OF THEM ARE NOT AND NEED TO BE TUNED BETTER. ALSO DONT REMOVE MY FUCKING CRITICISM OF THESE ULTRA STUPID FIGHTS IF YOURE GONNA DESIGN THESE STUPID FIGHTS AROUND DODGE ROLLING YOU NEED TO GIVE THE PLAYER THE OPPORTUNITY TO FUCKING DODGE ROLL. IF I STILL GET HIT WHY THE FUCK AM I DODGE ROLLING IN THE FIRST PLACE?? Last edited by Professahx#0605 on Dec 13, 2024, 1:13:34 AM Last bumped on Dec 13, 2024, 2:11:39 AM

dude, relax.
every boss i've been able to do and understand even if it took a few attempts, i'm sorry but you might just need to gear up a bit more? |

Bro, you see my badges? I understand the fucking game.
I understand the fights. I am geared up plenty and Im overleveled for the area. This is a bullshit ass fight. Same with the dogpiss fucker in a1 too - they are WAY overtuned for the difficulty. Its the fact that she can teleport, slam and hit you before you have a chance to react, dealing my entire hp in one shot. This may not be an issue for other classes, ones with a chunkload of defense or hp or block. but for a minion witch, this fight, among others, is dogshit and takes a very specific set of circumstances to beat. AND ONCE AGAIN IF YOU ARE GOING TO MAKE A FIGHT AROUND THE DODGE ROLLING MECHANIC, GETTING SMACKED AFTER ROLLING DEFEATS THE FUCKING PURPOSE IF THE BOSS CAN JUST TELEPORT AND HIT YOU ANYWAY. Also I think they need to look at the hitboxes and timing for some of these attacks - they are off enough that even during a roll, you get hit. Lack of i-frames or whatever. Ive also beat elden ring and the DLC multiple times, so I understand dodge roll mechanics. |

i don't know what your badges are supposed to prove but, the fact that my partner who has never played poe 1 before and has been able to do them just fine, surely it's an issue on your end?
the fights are supposed to be challenging and have lots of mechanics and you're making them out to be completely untelegraphed is just wrong. |

I did this fight on a minion witch, and yes, it was difficult and took many deaths. Something that helps for me though is to always be moving. For all the fights. And with enough ranged minions, I wasn't as worried about the skellies chasing her all over. Also, with the build I was using at the time, I made sure Contagion was on her all the time, as well as my curse, that I support gemmed to have damage. But mainly, you don't have to react much extra if you're moving all the time anyway.
I'm not a leet player and had a crappy low damage build (which I have since improved). It was a long fight. But ultimately doable. |

Balbala is an interesting one because depending on your class/build she's a piece of piss, a slog, or an absolute ballache to fight. My ranger plinked her to death with very little issue. My shield warrior was able to tank her by engaging SEKIRO PARRY (ie spamming block to proc lava shield) and staying mobile, making for a reactive if slow fight.
My monk... my monk had a harder time. Part of the problem is how much she jumps around, which she does with almost nothing in the way of tells. It's like i'm suddenly in a shounen anime, she's H-HAIYAIing behind me, rapidly stabbing and poisoning me, screeching and then flying away before engaging the fart death machine. She's weak to ice but not to freezing. My warrior hard stunned her with bonebreak and I swear she didn't have downtime animations, she just kept fighting and flying around while the stun meter ran down. She's not impossible, just unpleasant and annoying. I think the teleporting needs to be tuned down a bit. It makes it extremely awkward and fiddly for anyone who needs to engage her. I think it's reasonable she be that hyper in phase 3/near the end of her health bar but she's at 110% the entire fight. Last edited by TsunamiWombat#6071 on Dec 13, 2024, 1:32:02 AM

this boss is the worst one IMO. I was playing Falling thunder monk against her a few days ago and it was a nightmare XD. I think all other bosses are pretty doable or even feel easy to me. This one somehow never stopped her skills in my fight, which is very very annoying and made quite an impression to me. I bet my new ranger can beat her like nothing though.

" yes, it feels like she has little to no animation downtime, which while frenetic may be a bug. That or she needs re-tuning. It's not so much a matter of difficulty just that it's unpleasant and annoying as I have to fight with the game itself to even hit her. |

I managed to kill her with suboptimal Warrior and Monk.
If you're struggling you need to look at your strategy. There's champion mobs that are harder. | |
For the OP, no need to scream obscenities.
Breathe and state your problem, people are more inclined to take it seriously then. You hurt your own argument. For the others, stop telling him its "easy" unless you are actually playing minion witch. Different builds, even same build different drops, will massively affect boss fights. The best advice was already given: constantly move in a large semi-circle, and dont stop to cast spells until right after she has finished an animation. That is the way to go. It will take some tries. You can also respect as much int you can as strength on your passive nodes to try to avoid one-shots. |
