Molten Blast pass through close enemies with multiple projectiles
If enemy is close to character, only 1 of all projectiles hits an enemy. Others pass through it significantly reducing the damage

The way the game handles multiple projectiles has issues. part of the issues I am not sure if are a bug or a bad explanation of what the extra projectiles do. I have been playing around with multiple projectiles on my sorcerer and have found that when firing off multiple fireballs, even if they all explode when hitting the target, the target only takes the damage of one. Sometimes the rest pass through the target(so they dont all explode). with firebolt(from the Ashen Staff line of staves) it is the same situation, sometimes all three bolts stop when they hit the target but the target only takes the damage of one hit, other times the other two pass through the target.
So the game appears to be set up in some way to only allow one instance of damage from multi projectile abilities, and there appears to be a bug where sometimes the extra projectiles are counted as hitting the target and other times they fly through the target. In either case for my testing, only one instance of the damage happens, which does not make logical sense. I am not clear if it is intentional that additional projectiles dont cause extra damage to a target and they just left that out of the description of the abilities that create extra projectiles, or if there is something wrong where the extra damage instances are not being counted. with my mercenary if I have scatter shot on and multiple grenades explode on one target, the target takes the extra damage from having the extra grenades blow up on them, which is the logical result that would be expected from additional projectiles, so it appears only some skills have the odd interactions |
