Node "increases and reductions to projectile speed apply to damage with bows" issue

It isn't working with the acceleration gem at least as per the tooltip it is not. It is difficult for me to tell if it is tooltip only or just not working all-together. The node is on the "bow" cluster far right side of the tree and I have tested this with lightning arrow and magnetic salvo, both will show the increase to projectile speed but no change in damage.
