Recommendation for Cast on Abilities

OR just ADD A COOLDOWN, it is the simplest way to stop infinite spell spam

Though the REAL cause of comet spam was actually because it was defined on BASE cast time and that meant the it was taking the (1 second) instead of applying +1 to total cast time that the gem had(which would have meant a 2 second cast time if they used that), essentially causing it to cast TWICE as often.

This meant that comet was 2 times slower than voltaic mark, even though it should have been 4 times slower - thus why the nerf had to go so hard.

Also the cost of the skill was not factored in too. Which made comet even more of an outlier.

There. Done. No more self-sustaining ultraloops that generate forty thousand spells per second. All triggers have to be triggered by non-triggered skills, so you still have to actually play a build rather than just walk into an area and immediately transform into a walking nuclear apocalypse.


Spoken as someone that doesn't play the build. No one cares if the triggered skill generates energy. It's how many times do we have to freeze/chill/shock to make the meta skill go off. 30x in a single area is too much when the skills that trigger it don't do enough dps on their own to keep you alive.


Sounds like you just add in "cannot be triggered by ailments caused by triggered skills". Instead of just "cannot be caused by triggered skills"
