It's the laziest one, and on a good build it will be enough for a long time - but it's certainly not "the best", but the opposite. " It's not. " It's next to impossible for warrior to get surrounded. There are tons of movement / aoe abilities that easily clear things around you. Also you don't need to "go glass cannon" to onehit everything. Warrior is arguably the easiest class to reach big 1-hit breakpoints on damage without putting much effort. Just grab the biggest mace with largest +% damage, and that's all you need. I've no idea what exactly is wrong with your warrior build, but all your claims indicate that it's really bad. |

Playing as a Warrior, now at level 50. I only faced some difficulties in the first act, but since then I haven't any problems at all. Usually, I kill bosses within 1-2 attempts. Monsters with elemental damage are easy to handle if you have appropriate resistances.
Guys, use your brains! Or go and play Diablo 4. |

I can assure you that whoever designed this has absolutely no clue what makes enjoyable melee combat. It's as clunky as Dark Souls 1, which is a 2011 game! Can you believe how outdated this feels? No money until, GGG fix melee.

I'm 76 warrior (Titan)
Let me write a little here. Warrior slams do feel very slow, some of them scaling with "added attack time" which can not be effectively reduced by attack speed sure feels shit. I mainly use my default attack or volcanic fissure to proc primed for stun and use boneshatter to clear packs of enemies. I made the build as tanky as possible with 12k armour (78%), capped elemental resistance, 35 chaos resistance, 75% block chance with 26 life gained by each block. I actually want mobs to surround me, so I can clear whole enemy packs, if there is a rare or magic pack, they also get cleared. I didn't die because of mobs for so long, what kills me usually is chaos damage on death effects. I don't have much problem with single target damage aswell. I am using a beefed up hammer of the gods, and usually one or two aftershocks follows it, lowering boss health to half usually, and I keep spamming rolling slam afterwards. Some complains I have are; Rolling slam area is too small, animation is too slow, Direction change is hard, Mobs keep pushing me and making me miss my 2.5 second attack, Ranged mobs that move faster than me and making cat & mouse interaction, Heavy stunning mobs push them too far away and making me miss my second slam on them, If it was a sort of ground slam I would have loved it, but the way it is too clunky to use and level up with it. Default attack and volcanic fissure doesn't let you move and attack. Sunder and leap slam also used to be good in poe1, but now has famous "added attack time" which makes it too slow to use. Passive tree not having almost any physical damage nodes also feels bad. Warrior is not bad, but feels slow and clunky to play. Last edited by accussed22#5269 on Dec 12, 2024, 8:25:37 AM

Use elemental resistance. Break armor with Mace Strike then clear packs of primed mobs with Boneshatter shockwaves. Herald of Ash. Drop empowered Hammers on unique's heads and laugh when you proc a bleed. This is if you dont want to stand back and Sunder.
It's really not hard. Takes one primed mob to set up an explosion. You can get that from a Leap Slam ffs. The problem you really have is with the second Sanctum ascendancy but you won't make it that far it seems. Good for you. |

i'm in act2, i didn't drop tons of light res, and that was an example.
basis attack is the best, dont use mana, is quick, if you miss, you clic kagain.. magic attacks need too much mana. warrior can jump being attaked by distance.. he lands 75% life gone. of course problems are different between a lvl 10 30 or 60 warrior. So if one build works, can we say it's a good gameplay.. no i speak about pexing enjoying this class. and i'm realizing he's not good in any thnig. i want to play 2 hand weapon, not be hidden behing a shield .. i'm not a tank, i'm a warrior who want to smash everything with smile of course ! |
