Resistance Penalty Bug?

I’m currently in the endgame and noticed something strange with my resistances. Until now, I had -40% to Fire, Cold, and Lightning resistances after clearing all the Acts and using all the resistance bonuses from the campaign.
However, I just hit level 78, and without any warning, my resistance penalties suddenly increased to -50%. Is this intended or a bug? Could the resistance bonuses from the campaign have been removed or overridden somehow? Having this happen suddenly in the endgame, with no prior indication, is incredibly frustrating. At this stage, it’s extremely difficult to overhaul all my gear to adapt to this unexpected penalty. If this is intended, I strongly urge the developers to address the lack of clarity. Please display the penalties clearly on the character screen and provide an in-game explanation of when resistance changes occur. A heads-up would go a long way to prevent confusion—had I known this, I might have avoided leveling up for the time being. Idem since the last patch -50% resist without any equipement and all passive resistance bonuses from the campaign done

After some investigation, I’ve confirmed that this resistance penalty is due to entering Tier 6+ maps. When you enter these maps, an additional -10% resistance penalty is applied. Interestingly, this penalty is still shown in your hideout, but if you enter a Tier 1-5 map, your resistances return to their regular values while inside those maps.
To avoid confusion, I strongly recommend adding detailed information in the character screen. For example, when hovering over resistances (and perhaps pressing ALT), the game could display a breakdown of all resistance penalties and bonuses. This would make the system far more transparent and help players understand how their resistances are being calculated at different stages of progression. |

This is a big slap to the face if intended. After spending all my currencies achieving around 73% resistances overall and getting the 3rd ascendancy I told myself "I'm finally ready to hit tier 6s'
The game feels way too punishing with a ruthless loot system. One big downside is the crafting bench is missing so hitting those resists caps is awful. You end up getting one shot too much because you are missing those and you can't farm effectively because you lose xp and the map. I hope it's a bug. |

I have same issue here.
My character has -80% elemental resistance permanent penalty(normally player has -60% when they playing endgame content) during the endgame no matter in hideout or in level 75+ trials. I think it is because of i've finished some lost towers before i got the tablet(which can inset the lost tower when you finished it to make the buff area). And leaving ONE lost towers can permanently reducing like(4%-5% i guess)our elemental resistance. World 1st Lv100 scion.^.^IGN: MrsBBQ

Just want to check from support, I have -56% fire, ice and cold? I was doing some t10 earlier but I had 75% all resistance and when I was going to do some t12, I notice my fire resistance isn't cap anymore. Just to be clear, I was doing t10 maps, took a break, decided to get 4th ascendancy, did some t10s again and now I have -56% fire cold and lightning resistance.

I have same issue here. yesterday I already capped my ele res but today it is -10% and I'm already in maps.

Yeah, I capped my resistances 3 times already, this system is unclear and unfun.
