Yet another feedback post (civil and constructive)
Towers
Pros - Seeing the Towers immediately brought to mind Zelda - BotW/TotK. My desire to rush them was overwhelming, if that was your goal, kudos. The map overall feels like it has quite a bit of potential and I'm eager to continue exploring. Cons - Towers being a single use and the tablets benefit being lost on death drastically reduces their appeal. Investing Atlas points into them as they are now feels like a blind gamble. Does it have potential? Maybe, but is immediately relegated to wasted points given the far more appealing other options. Waystones Pros - To me, the waystone system feels like a complete improvement over the map system. Not having to buy/farm for specific maps to fuel my completionism is great. Cons - I know its been beaten to death, but one attempt per waystone feels quite harsh. See difficulty thought at bottom of post. Gems Pros - I can see a lot of potential with the flexible new system. Being able to swap things around at will and tinker with builds on the fly, not needing to level gems and hope your plan works out. Cons - Supports being unique equipped strips away any true customization. Most builds will likely want to use the same gem multiple times. With 9 base skill slots, at least 2 extras from gear at 5 supports each. Thats 55 unique supports, I can't imagine any build being able to use all of that. Maybe its just future-proofing? My own current build plan can't even fill all 3 support sockets I currently have and have some skills with no support. Respec Pros - Oh my, yes! I love the new respec system and gold usage for it. My first build, as many users likely experienced, failed miserably. The new system made going a new route, literally changed 90% of my nodes, plausible. Not having to make a new char? Im all in. Cons - I got nothing, more praise <3. Gold Pros - Respeccing! Cons - Going from currency to gold feels odd, but im not throwing any shade just yet given how helpful it was for respeccing. I am a bit worried about it having any true use. Gamble, respec and waytones are the only sinks im aware of, all of which are very limited use. Gambling into crafting gear might have potential, but seems unlikely to consume enough that it makes the currency truly relevant. Difficulty selection Maybe a casual/sweaty chosen on character creation, with sweaty giving some form of boost. Toss One attempt per map, and tower benefit lost on death into the sweaty category if its staying around. Last bumped on Dec 11, 2024, 8:05:30 PM
