Suggestions for Trials of Chaos (Campaign)
Hi GGG,
Have replied on a couple of bug threads about bugs found related to the Trials of Chaos, but thought I'd provide some feedback after 2hrs of trial runs to finally complete the ascendancy. Pros: a) Monster wise, feels fine in terms of numbers and spawnage. b) This is a fresher take on Ultimatum from PoE and I much prefer this style to the old. I may be in a minority on this. c) The design of the trials is actually really lovely done, and I enjoy the extra verticality of some of the designs. Suggestions: a) Stormcaller runes at present I feel can be a bit unfair compared to other mechanics, particularly with regards to "dodge rolls" and sometimes a need to utilise lifts to traverse areas. At present, runes can spawn on top of a lift, meaning that they must be activated if we are to use them. Because of the nature of lifts, this means it's a guaranteed hit by the run. The 2nd suggestion to the ruins is that there isn't (or not one I've noticed) a chance to activate the rune fully and avoid taking damage. With high resists, this isn't an issue, but low resists early in campaign makes it sometimes unnecessarly harsh, especially when combined with point 1. b) On verticality, Stalking shades don't appear to respect this. Whilst I feel that making them fully respect terrain would go against the design, I feel that (if possible) there should be a travel time for them traversing vertically. At present, it feels like they just skip to the same horizontal plane as my character Request: As a red-green colour blind person, if at all possible could the Rings of Doom be designed to help show the centre ring (i.e. the safe zone) a bit more clearly. I can about see the centre ring due to moving artifacts, and similar for the edge, but particularly in some areas of the Trials of Chaos I just can't see the lighter red (thanks to my friends) from some of the greenery. Thanks for all the hard work on PoE2 so far, and hope you have a good christmas break! Edit: Stormcaller rune change implemented, thank you :) Last edited by Bambamghost#3682 on Dec 12, 2024, 4:14:27 AM Last bumped on Dec 11, 2024, 6:18:08 PM
