Way too much loot now.

Loot feels the same to me other than I feel like I get a Rare nearly every time I kill a rare monster pack and I've actually had 1 Jewelers orb drop.

I think everyone has genuinely lost it with this game...

There's a crowd of people unhappy it's too hard and want loot to fall into their laps just for being logged in and a crowd who won't be happy till the game literally shits in their face every time they die because they need to be punished.

People posting shit like "omg the game will lose its identity. GGG you are LITERALLY killing me to death with these GARGANTUAN changes in drop rates. Please stop, i beg you. I can't take it"

Ever thought about just calming down and stop being so dramatic? Absolute panic posting. It's like watching small dogs bark at each other.

TLDR: Now too much loot. Keep reagents/shards drop rate high, dial back gear drop. Up Quality of rare and boss drops or up frequency of rare gear in vendor.

So loot was a little scarce at launch and reagents even more so, but I think you turned loot from like 2 up to 11. Too far. Personally I'd prefer an abundance of crafting reagents than loot drops. I like being able to craft early in the game and it mean something. In poe 1 you rarely if ever bother crafting because you're going to be replacing it 5 min later anyway. PoE2 is paced slow enough that crafting gear makes sense.

I do think the boss and rare drops need a quality upgrade. A boss shoulddrop an upgrade for at lease one of the classes. I killed the Executioner yesterday and got 2 blues and gold. That or you maybe add more rares to the vendors.

For record, this game is NOT supposed to be this hard. Remember, this was spun out of PoE because GGG realized that the first game was too complex with too many systems for the new player, which they need because PoE is stagnant (In other words, it's not growing the player base, which all businesses need).

So it's not going to be as hard as it is now in the long run. At least, if they want to attract new players.

brother, It's been less than a week and people are talking like the game is going to explode because it doesn't perfectly reflect what THEY want.

You all need to get off the forum and play the fucking game and calm yourselves down. These threads do nothing than divide and it's too early to speculate on anything long-term imo.

Its Early Access, which is just fancy speak for: Beta test i paid money to play. So since its a beta test I'm giving feedback. GGG made a change, I've played the game since that change, I'm giving my feedback on how it feels. If I thought that the change was perfect I would still have made a post taking about how i thought it was perfect.

Believe it or not, since I'm a mediocre player I'm not bothering to sprint to the endgame and maps. I'm leaving that to Zizaran, Quin and etc. But feedback is still needed for all parts of the game. Especially Act 1 the act that most people will quit at.

There is trade. There is so much loot now. Get to farm the pages of the trade site. Its a currency farming simulator now.

This will always happen, as ‘league’ (or in this case early access) progresses people will be adding more and more things for sale. Wouldn’t matter if this was old (pre patch, or new post patch) drop rates, the trade was filled 95% or more before loot got buffed.

After playing with the loot update, I generally agree. I'd even enjoy a bit more currency drops. But the yellows and uniques have been dropping too much given how much of the crafting system is based around starting with white items. Instead of a quant/rarity buff, maybe give it like smart loot for white items, so you're more likely to get a better base that actually fits your class the more difficult a monster is.

Overall, the loot buff feels way better to me. But if they really want to emphasize crafting, they should emphasize dropping strong bases more often.
