ACT 3 Blackjaw unaccessable after moving on to cruel acts

Somehow i missed Blackjaw in ACT 3, but found him in Cruel mode ACT 3 and saw he dropped a resistance upgrade, so i wanted to go back to ACT 3 and fight him, but even after finding the small soul core, interacting with the stone altar does nothing.

EDIT: resetting the instance two times helped.
