Crafting is just not really feasible in current state

Title, as is, with no orbs of alteration and chaos orbs being useless, crafting anything is incredibly hard. Allegedly one of the goals for this game was to make crafting more accessible, but the complete opposite has been done. It's incredibly difficult to even get a good magic item as a base to try to regal into a rare item, and very expensive to add all 6 modifiers with exalted orbs. You can't even try to roll a good or decent rare with chaos orbs, unless you find an item that already has all 6 modifiers, and event then you will need a chaos orb for every single stat you want to reroll, combined with a ton of luck to hit the right removal and the right add. I have yet to see a single orb of scouring so they are also not a viable replacement for orbs of alteration when trying to get even a decent item.
There is NO WAY this system was meant for people to craft during the campaign.

This isn't even a crafting system anymore. You aren't crafting anything, all you're doing is yolo slamming every item and gambling. Transmutes and Augments are just Exalts with a different name. You start with a white item, transmute and hope for good mod. You aug and hope it gets a 2nd good mod. Ok it got 2 decent ones, now you regal it. Oh shit it got "%reduced attribute requirements". Off to the vendor it goes for 1 regal shard.

You just either have to get extremely lucky with slams in the campaign or you look for items off the ground or in vendors with 2-3 good stats on them already. Its boring and bland.

Yep exactly, it's not even crafting. The closest thing you can get is the triple-item recombinator bench or Expedition when you get to maps, because apparently now all 4 NPCs are just Rog but each sells different types of items you can do Rog crafting to. I suspect that will be one of the best ways to get good endgame gear.
