Roll needs an invincible iframe on all moves and Boss Tuning
This is my main issue. Game being hard is one thing, and I do enjoy it being more tough but the bosses at time fill difficult just for the sake of it and don't always feel great. I think it comes down to the roll. If you had a perfect frame where you could dodge any attack, it adds skill to the roll on every attack. Currently it seems to have a frame only on some basic moves but I think this needs upgraded to all moves. Game feels soul like on boss fights but the dodging feels dated without the iframe on all the moves.
Bosses i think DMG wise and mechanic wise are very cool, I think they have a bit to much health based on the DMG that a char can put out early game. I would lower the health pool on the bosses by maybe 5% or tweak drops to help dmg go up. The amount of yellows you see drop is so small and the items to upgrade them to yellow still don't drop enough. At the moment it just feels leveling up you just don't do enough dmg. I think this change to roll may solve some of that and a teak to boss health pool. Keep the updates coming. The boss attacks are *clearly* designed for i-frames on dodge rolls. Some of the bosses' leap slams are otherwise only dodgeable by being on the other side of the arena when they start it, which means you cannot ever be doing damage, else the boss may decide to jump and oneshot you.
The boss fights are almost all poorly designed for the current roll. With a working roll, the boss fights would be *incredible* (aside from them taking 30 minutes, but that is something i actually *do* think they will fix, eventually). |
