Can't pick up Vaal Soul Core on the ground in Trial of Chaos

I tried standing on every side of the soul core but I couldn't pick it up. It was on a part of the map that you had to use an elevator to reach.

Update: I didn't realize you had to take each core back to the stones before you could pick up more cores. This probably isn't a bug.
