Chaos resistance, accesibility to it and how common chaos dmg is

A lot of times i hear (havent played back then) that chaos resistance in PoE was once actually rarerly needed. That would make sense considering that back then there was less accesible crafts to fix this. As time went on and more crafting methods came, chaos resist started to be required at least at 0% and even then it was with idea of "sometimes you will die but not always"


Now in PoE 2 i am in maps and my chaos res suck. I cant use runes to fix it. I dont have currency to fix it and market prices are pretty high for res + chaos res + life gear cuz its hard to come by.
And that would be reasonable, devs want PoE 2 to be like old PoE.

Why then Chaos resistance is required to not die?

On death crystals, Ritual mobs, various other white mobs - all of them use chaos dmg. We cant kill them from far away in seconds and then quickly dash/blink from on death effects. If we are again at a point where chaos resistance is premium stat but we are strugling to get even decent stats on gear + WE HAVE ONE CHANCE PER MAP TO CLEAR IT - Why cant chaos resistance be way more common?

Add to that the ammount of new rings and nerfed values of ametyst rings that are also a one try item and you are cooked.
