Found a discipline sceptre, not getting discipline

Switched to ES yesterday evening. Feel super good to find a +3 discipline scepter today. Use some exalts and add quality (all my currency) to be left with the discipline aura not working?

Am i missing something?

e: guess i'm just stupid for not reading that the aura only affects allies and not me. Kinda sad though
