My feedback after about 40hours on PoE2 in regards to regular enemies
I like this game a lot especially getting to maps, the lower rewards were not a problem but seeing the recent patch I did not dislike it as the devs seem aware that overbuffing drops, then reducing, will result in issues.
PoE2 does not seem to want to be the game of "abuse scaling on 1 ability, clear it all" as we are incentivized to combo abilities and gems but whilst playing my experiences have shown me one problem. There are some regular enemies who deal way too much damage and are too fast. If you use any kind of combo build using more than 2 abilities you get bumrushed by some enemies which means you need to rely on 1 ability really to get through those deadly packs, the game is much more fun if you face "fast" enemies you can react to and have some leeway to move/kite and use multiple abilities. Overall I'd like to see a reduction on enemy movement as even with slowing abilities you cannot outrun some of the faster candidates and this feels more like an oversight than intended. Since dodge rolling is a thing, and bosses use telegraphed attacks, it would be more in line with the game if instead of having the speed of a drug addict mobs have reactable moves such as grappling hooks, leaps, and what not. You can see this in action in the chaos trial, it is not fun as enemies swarm you at speed of light with big boys jumping on you so even if you dodge the leap you will get hit out of animation lock by enemies 5times your speed. That would be my biggest problem with the game right now and in combination with the high enemy damage is likely a key reason for endgame still being "kill at edge of screen or die" gameplay.
