Locked out of endgame maps

Took a break from barren empty endgame maps to play the least enjoyable trial ever created in video games and now my global map interface is bugged and I can't go back to the Ziggurat Refuge or resume a map. Hovering over where I am on the map claims that the "map is still in progress".

Did you die in the last map you did?

This seems like a very common, but very game-breaking (can't play the game) bug that people are encountering.

Seems like dying and not having unlocked hideout are the 2 primary culprits.
