Hello I need to unlink my steam from this account.

Yep im still in the same boat nothing on their end about unlinking my steam from this account so i can link it to my actual account.

I literally activated the game on my other account but can't play since this account has my steam linked? How do I refund my purchase of the game? Or if i can just get it activated on this account that would work too. Seriously.

Beware with gifted key, you need to check that the key you got is an Early Access Key and not a Client Key. They are different and some people for example get multiple Keys for the same account to play on different platforms (Steam/Epic..) but these keys are just to download the client/launcher they don't give EA. If the EA is activated in your poe.com account, can check here I believe:
https://www.pathofexile.com/my-account/early-access

Then you don't need Steam or Epic, just use the standalone launcher.

I had linked my poe 1 account to steam, then I purchased poe2 early access via steam and started playing. No problem up to this point. I purchased the support package, which is the upper package, via steam, but it was assigned to the account where poe1 was. The poe technical team did not respond. Without wasting time, I created a refund request via steam and got the payment back. I hope this article helps you. And like you, I can't disconnect my poe1 account from steam.
