[PC, Controller] Tempest Bell's varying target priority
At least on controller, Tempest Bell has often frustrating target priority with varying attack skills.
Tempest Flurry is the worst victim — using it even remotely near the bell has the character target the bell above all else. This is a nuisance when a [ranged] enemy is just beyond my bell's shockwave range, and I am unable to target them with Tempest Flurry because my character would rather turn around 180 degrees (!!!) and strike the bell. On the other hand, when I place the bell in a dense pack and try to attack it with Ice Strike, my character will zip and zoom towards every enemy _near_ the bell, rarely striking the bell itself. My biggest request is that when I'm not facing the bell, I really don't want to attack the bell >w< Last bumped on Dec 14, 2024, 9:53:29 AM

Came here to report same issue with controller on PC. I have seen PS5 report this as well so I assume may be an issue with all controllers.
It just feels like it's lock on radius is too big. Very difficult to hit anything else when you are even remotely near it. Even when you have encouraged the auto lock onto another enemy, and you're back is turned to it, it will still drag you half way across the screen back to the bell. Apart from this playing with the controller seems good. Unlike you though, for me it is Ice Strike that is locking on too strong. Haven't tried with any other skills. Strangely I see mouse and keyboard players reporting the opposite. They're struggling to hit it. |
