I would emphasize...the aoe attacks are too big to dodge effectively. Whether its jumping out of the fog or whatever. The big red circle drops you know you're gonna eat it. Theres no getting out of it even with an evade.
The spike attacks...whether the ice spike or 'blood' spikes... too fast to avoid. The window to dodge/evade is too small.

No idea what you're talking about lol. You can see him fade out before he does his slam, and you have plenty of time to move out of the way of it if you open your eyes and watch for the telegraph instead of just holding down your auto-attack until he's completely off screen. This move only punishes you for not paying attention.

Both spike attacks can be dodged by just waiting until a pillar appears on you, then walking to a spot where there isn't a pillar. No rolling required, and it is not too fast to react to.

+1 to all of this.

The wolf dash is very easy to dodge, because he always times it the exact same after he speaks his lines. But it's not even very high damage, so you should be able to tank it unless you're almost dead from his minions already.

The drop-slam is even EASIER to dodge, but you guys are probably trying to spam-roll because you haven't figured out how to play yet. If you try to dodge it by rolling twice, you'll get hit, because there's a delay at the end of your roll. If you dodge it by walking halfway to the edge of the circle THEN rolling, you won't get hit.

And don't use your dodge roll at all vs his sky lasers. Just walk out of the way, preferably while dealing some damage to the boss because it's when he's the easiest to hit with slower high-damage skills.

This fight exists solely to teach players how and when to dodge. That's literally what this fight is: your dodge roll tutorial. Making the fight easier would serve zero purpose, because it would just pass players through who didn't learn what they were supposed to learn, and you'd just get stuck on the next boss in Act 2 because you still don't know how to play.
Yet they changed rolling a bit so clearly they are listening. Cool.
Geonor felt like the best Act boss to me, perfectly challenging. I felt his telegraphs were fairly shown and did an appropriate amount of damage to allow some mistakes.
