[FIXED with new patch] [Linux/Steam] Game freezes on cogs while loading

I run the game from Steam, it processes the Vulkan shaders, then opens to two cogs rotating at 1 fps before freezing completely. I have seen some people suggest this is related to Windows 24H2, however my system runs on Linux (and the Early Access announcement said it only doesn't work on MacOS).

Closing the game using STOP in Steam or Alt+F4 does nothing, and the only way to close it has been using a terminal kill command.

Here are my PC specs, which are better than the minimum and recommended Steam specs. If it's good enough to run 4 instances of Baldur's Gate 3 on max settings, surely it's fine for PoE2.

Distro: Arch Linux
Kernel: 6.12.3-arch1-1
RAM: 16 GB
GPU Driver: NVIDIA 565.77
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER
CPU: Intel i7-9700F (8) @ 4.700GHz

Solutions I've tried
Changing to different versions of Steam Proton.

Editing poe2_production_Config.ini and changing renderer_type=Vulkan to renderer_type=DirectX12 gives me 2-3 fps on the cogs loading screen and after 2 mins 35 seconds, eventually gets me to a frozen log-in screen where the game stops working, and I need to run a kill command again.

I don't want to experiment any longer to stay within the Steam 2 hour refund threshold. I just want it to work.

New patch came out and now the game functions perfectly with all graphics on max.

Thx for the fix, even though I doubt it was because of my post lol
