Bad character progression, zero loot, low currency, bad damage, too much mob health.

That summarizes the tip of the iceberg.
Fundamentally I think the design for this game is rather dumb. Nobody wants to slog through anything. Problems. - Campaign time -- Nobody likes a big campaign. I started in 3.5 and people have been begging for almost a decade prior to my starting to skip the campaign... And you just made it literally 10 times longer. POE 1 campaign is 3 hours. This is like 30? Dear lord what are you thinking... - RSI -- You've taken away the flask piano and made it 100x worse with WASD.... It's actually painful to play without controller... if controller didn't exist this game would be unplayable. - Movement speed or faster movement on boots. - Faster movement while casting - Health and defenses on skill tree or GOOD gear to drop - LOOT, GEAR, CURRENCY -- MASSIVE BUFF NEEDED, these barely exist... - Better gem options.. gems are crazy limited by weapon... you've taken whats great about POE and turned it into some arcade game style selection. 0/10 here, the absolute worst decision.. Yeah pretty much all of this and more. The game is in a horrible state, and if they don't listen to the players that paid for early access and also supported PoE 1 so that this game could even have the chance to be made, then its just gonna die after the first 1 or 2 leagues are released lol
Watching act 1 gameplay is like watching the game in slow motion, I don't know who thought kiting white mobs and them taking multiple hits from your main skill to kill would be interesting gameplay, but it's just not. Also something very funny happened while I was watching a friend do the Viper boss near the end of act 3, he had 20% ms boots and suddenly he could just walk around and dodge one of her poison projectile attacks. Previously in Act 3(not cruel) the first time he did the boss he had 15% ms boots, and could not dodge that attack either by running or dodge rolling. He always got hit by a few stray projectiles. What the hell kind of boss design is this? So instead of tuning and making these attacks for the base movement speed of a character, you make it so you need high movespeed boots which are hard af to find? Really? And you wonder why people ragequit because of some of these bosses. I don't know who tested any of these bosses internally or on what build, with what gear and if they used console commands. But clearly there was not enough testing lol Nobody thought they were buying supporter packs so GGG could make a new shiny Ruthless 2.0 with good graphics. They thought they would get a fun ARPG experience that's a successor to PoE 1 and improves upon it. That is not what people got. At all. |

I like the hardness of new game. New moves, new mechanics.
But.. At 40+ (Act3) lvl i've got only 2 chaos orbs. "Moar currencies" you saids? I can get alot more only in first act of PoE1. Same with gear drop. If i'm correct, i've got about 10-15 yellows for all playtime. Half of my gear is crafted by myself, because you need to kill millions of mobs to get another rare item and in most cases it's not for your class. Same compartion with PoE1, where you can gear up in rares in the middle of 1st act. Challenges must be worthwhile. |

Yeah its crazy how many POE 1 players didn't listen to a freaking word GGG said about how this game is going to be much harder and very different than poe 1

They could tone down the enemy HP a bit.
But I mostly want better loot drops... Rare enemies and bosses drop blues and whites most of the time. It's definitely not rewarding you for how difficult the fights are. It needs to match 1 to 1 and it doesn't. If it's difficulty is high so must the drop rates be. |

WASD actually feels amazingly better and I don't even know how I played ARPGs without it. I was planning to play with controller but it felt clunky so I tried WASD and will never go back.
Slogging through the game as a fresh character is how ARPGs are. D2 for example was a slog until about level 30. D2 took hours of grinding past content for gear to reach new content. Faster R/W... All of this exists in PoE 2. Spec it, craft it or find it. Some currencies are too rare, I agree. Rare drops in general are too rare. Crafting blues feels pointless, crafting rares feels impossible when alchs hardly ever drop. This needs some adjustments for sure. Not a big fan of the gems either, I miss the PoE 1 system. |

Not to mention the difficulty is far beyond Ruthless in POE.

I really find it funny when playing on my Witch and killing a boss I get a bow, a crossbow or a shield with Dex and or Str on it when I am an Int class.
Then I reset the map and kill it again to get just a couple of white items and a scroll. After a couple of runs like that I stopped playing not only because it's a waste of my time but it's straight taking the piss out of player. It happens on 90% occasions. It's so rare to find anything useful that I actually rolled a Monk so I could find more gear for my Witch, and surprisingly I did. |

If it makes you feel better OP, they are nerfing builds that can do damage and fixing none of the rest :)

I'm actually [mostly] OK with a lot of things -- esp. once the trade site and other tools leverage the ability to fill in gaps in RNG through the campaign.
Campaign time: I'm OK if it's not the 3-5 hour run and if it takes the opening weekend to complete. For all characters after the first though I'd want to SKIP the campaign [for obvious reasons] Control: Well I'm still on PC and mouse. I do have an abnormal (?) difficulty dodging some boss mechanics though so maybe that has something to do with it??? Move speed: I'd prefer maybe 5-10% faster move overall and I wouldn't necessarily object to adding a "run" option if there are not monsters "nearby". Move while attacking: I likely haven't leveraged that enough as melee. Old habits die hard :) Passive skill tree: I somewhat agree here. I feel as if I get enough (?) offensive power, almost enough mitigation, but "flat recovery or hybrid flat+percent recovery" seems very bad from my starting position. Given that I don't do all mechanics [Dodge or die] as intended it would be nice if the one thing I'm not good at could be better mitigated. Loot ; Gear ; Currency : I think some buffs to these would be welcome BUT I think once everyone fully engages with trade that things will be smoother. I know I didn't engage nearly as much with TRADE as I should have. Lesson learned. Skill & Support Gem options: I would like more options but I don't think I've progressed NEARLY enough in the game to give a good review. I uninstalled at the very end of act 2. From what I did see I think I [mostly] have enough skill jems but I'd like to see more variety of options like "early crowd control", more damage over time [Totems, ailments] options, additional AoE options, etc. Similar goes for support gems ... I felt too pigeonholed and didn't get the things I really wanted. |
