Love the game so far! Some constructive criticism below:

Firstly i love the game. It looks and sounds (very important to me) amazing. The sound direction is superb and surpasses the high bar set by the first game.

I really enjoyed the brutal difficulty of Act 1 with no real build or gear online. Having to slam exalts to try to craft a weapon good enough so I could clear the Act 1 boss was a real challenge but worth it!

However, had my slams resulted in a bricked item I might have had to take a break since my Monk (with no glacial cascade which is super strong) just wasn't doing enough damage to deal with the wolf adds during the Act 1 boss fight.

Overall I really like the ruthless 2.0 approach, where crafting is key, but it would be nice imho to buff the currency drops a tad (maybe 25%?) so that we have more chances to answer the questions that the game asks us. This really isn't a problem for those playing the strongest builds, but given that I can see you want PoE2 to be a more inclusive game, this would give those playing weaker builds in Act 1 a chance to beat it and then start working on their build proper in Act 2 when more gems and base drops become available.

The souls-like boss fights are a *GREAT* addition imho. It makes them a real challenge and very memorable. I know a vocal minority hate it but all my friends who didn't like PoE 1 are loving the dodge roll mechanic in PoE 2. You can actually outplay bosses and it isn't just a stat check.

I'm working on Act 3 now and I have some feedback about visual clarity . Some of the visual clarity on what is going on in some of the fights could be improved. When the Chimera does its frost breath attack it's rather hard to see which areas (close to the boss) are safe for a melee character to stand.

Likewise the Djinn boss in Act 2 I found the visual clarity of some of the telegraphs to be rather poor.

This is all I have for now. Well done you've exceeded my expectations and have created the best game for a decade!

FYI: I wouldn't necessarily forget the [unannounced?] trade site. If it's working that may actually help out as spending 1 EX for a "known strong upgrade" to a piece of gear is likely better than anything you're likely to craft.
True, that's a fair point. I tend to play SSF on PoE 1 so have been mainly playing (soft, unenforced) SSF so far, as have most of my friends (who usually play trade league).

I feel early crafting should be encouraged and easy to access as it gives players a chance to interact with what is one of the best aspects, imho of PoE systems.
