Fire/Ignite based skills and Infernalist are dog doodoo deluxe

I've been lovin poe2 but i'm gonna be honest

Fire skills do negative damage - best skills on my IGNITE INFERNALIST are comet (cold) and detonate dead (phys). I can slap on frost wall and cast on freeze + comet, explode walls on enemies and it will do more than any fire skill while being fully specced into it.

There are no fun synergies with fire skills - You can freeze and cold snap frozen enemies, shatter ice walls. Fire? You can cast flameblast on solar orb i guess, you get a little bit more cast speed - lame as hell

Incinerate takes hour to ramp and slows you down so you get stuck in enemies.
Fireball could be buffed 10 times and it still would be garbage.
Since you have no utility coming out of ignite archetype like chill and freeze from cold damage, it should do way much more damage than cold - simple as that. Ignite is hot garbage. (pun intended)

Infernalist - why do you need major downside on almost every single node this class has? Most ascendancies just gain power, this one has to grief and kill itself to gain anything (outside of dog node).
Pyromantic Pact, Demon Form, all Beidat nodes - they either kill you or make you less tanky.
Demon Form actually, unironically makes me do LESS damage. The fact it unequips your weapons is beyond moronic. So the only thing you get from it is better dash and life degen - enjoy.
Even if you want to use infernal flame and demon form - you can't mitigate life loss, there's no regen on the tree, you can't build around it. Maxing at 10 stacks of demon flame is not worth it stat wise. Higher stacks of demon flame that would actually give you anything you would have to tank with the life flask.

Meanwhile Blood Mage gets free progenesis, life overflow and crit bonus - nice one guys

The idea itself for demon-fire-dude archetype is cool. But execution is so terrible it makes me wanna vomit, do a cartwheel and start a crypto scam. Guys fix that shit. Make whoever balanced that class walk barefoot over a bed of hot embers for hours so they realize fire indeed can and should do damage (get it? fire based punishment)

Blood mage isn't any better, and Sanguimancy feels terrible. In some cases it bricks your build because the life cost isn't sustainable even with overflow. Which then forces you to unspec the point. About the only way you can get away with it is doing a DoT build (which is what I am doing), but then the damage falls off super hard at the start of Act 3.

Agree due to no utility on fire skills the damage needs to be higher. I know they want to you combo different skills but there is little point when you can just go all cold and do better famage and have more survivability.

The most annoying part is that i feel that i have to go fire minions to level through the campaign there is no choice currently with fire.
U 4got to mention that demon form has a lot of bugs. I, for one, belive that these problem wont b looked at any time soon. After all, my thread about it was deleted.
you are spot on with ignite being hot garbage. The funny thing is, we went through this EXACT thing in POE1 OB. No joke, literally this exact problem.
I think the ignite issue is going to be quite severe for fire magic. If the game is going to revolve around using multiple abilities and stuff like that, only being allowed one ignite source is going to basically cut your spells efficiency down just by the fact that you are playing only fire.

To be perfectly honest I don't really see why ignite (or really any ailment) has to be limited to 1 stack other than server load or something. I think it should just do all ignites damage at the same time, just avoid having sources of infinite duration like reset ignite duration on crit and such. Maybe reduce their base durations from what they are now.

Currently you can't actually use Flame wall, Solar Orb, and Incinerate together without one of the spells completely nullifying or halving the efficiency of one of the others.

Yep!
I was also using fire for fire spirits to synergise with minions but overall the damage is not good enough so I want to respect to either bonestorm or ice but the respec costs are prohibitive!!
